Melaka Day Trip
Some friends from Singapore came down to Melaka for a 2-day trip earlier this month. It wasn't like any Melaka holiday package or anything, just a few chaps gathered and had fun.
Group picture.
This is Alvin.
This is CCC.
This is (future Dr.)Chai and his girlfriend.
This is (future Dr.) Lau Ngee Yin. Seriously i don't want to be operated by him or send my children to him in fear of getting molested.
I joined them on their 2-day in Melaka hours before their departure back to Singapore. The previous day, they went to Jonker Walk, Tan Kim Hock, GoGo KTV and etc. I joined them to go about the famed Stadhuys and for a round of Cendol.
We went about Stadhuys:
Man with snakes
We chatted for long hours catching up with each other. It appears that 9 people from the Class of 2002 will be medical doctors in months to come. The rest are mostly pursuing their studies in the course of Engineering and is in the progress of completion.
Through the chats, I've seen their maturity in their characters and personalities. They also seem to very aware of the political scene in Malaysia, much to my surprise!
As you can see, most of the pictures doesn't have their faces in the photos. That's because their were dodging the sun. A bunch of pussies.
Me and Alvin.
Going to miss you guys! Cheers!

I'm sooo Retro!
I'm born in the early 80's. Naturally i play games that are developed in the 90's in my early days.
When i was a kid. I used to play this: Prince of Persia.
Today Prince of Persia looks like this:
Back in those days, people played DOS games. Some of you might be wondering what are DOS games.
DOS Games are games played in MSDOS, you know the useless Command Prompt in your Accessories that you never even bother to touch. To execute the games, we have to type stuff like "dir" or "cd" "C:\>" and weird shit like that. We have to use command lines in DOS to execute the game.
These days, people just double click and start the game/program. The luxury!
Keep in mind that modern computers these days hardly can execute these prehistoric programs. It can hardly recognize the program and with some tough tweeking, MAYBE it will run. So I'm going step by step teach you how to relive the 90's.
This is how you can play retro gamesnow. Let me share my geeky love with you!
1. Go to http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/
2. Go to the Download Section.
3. Download the D-Fend-Reloaded-0.3.2-Setup.exe
4. Install it and follow through the instructions.( Installation size:20MB)
5. Download DOS Games from http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/
6. Add it into D-Fend Reloaded. ( Contact me if you are interested and unsure)
7. Play!
The fights in those days were like this:
And this.
Prince: Urggghh... (dead)
Don't judge by it's looks. The game itself is tough. 60 minutes to save a princess. If the Prince dies, you have to restart at the beginning of the level. And dying like the picture above is so common since the Prince love to run fast but can't brake, slip and plunge to his death. I don't know whether it's because the Prince doesn't wear shoes or he just love sharp swords poking up his 0||0 .
One word: Insane difficulty.
Cool aye'? Now let's get retro.
Time to save that princess. The old school way!

Mystique Prom 2008
MMU Melaka Mystique Prom Nite 2008.
This is my 4th time attending prom during my time in MMU.
The feeling is like watching fireworks when you're an adult.
Nevertheless, the whole experience was exhilarating.
Being an organiser of a prom before, i saw a fresh breath of air when the organizers invited Jien and Stephanie Chai to be the emcees. I was really thrilled by smooth and suave talking which gave the whole night the spark. Just watching them alone is worth the hassle of prom itself.
Seductor and Seductress.
Oh yeah~ Shake that booty.
Oh and there's Kenny Sia. At the beginning of the event, he's like a lost puppy where no one choi him at all, and he lonesomely took pictures just like all bloggers does.
Kenny Sia: duuhhh...
Naturally we took a picture with him.
Next up, the band's performance: Pop Shuvit!
I was always a fan of Disagree, a rival Malaysian local band to Pop Shuvit. But after that nite, i came out a fan of both bands. Pop Shuvit really broght down da' house that nite. Malaysian bands are so talented aren't they?
Rocking the crowd.
Estranged.
-------
Now for the picture gallore:
The boys.
Me and Jeff.
Me and Clement.
Me and Kai Jia.
Me and Ex-Housemate Eric.
Under one roof.
Jacqueline and Me.
Me, elicia, Shal and Vimlan.
Me and Sullivan.
Me and Elaine.
Me and Lucius.
-------
A fairytale's ending.

Being that Teabag
"Every choice one makes either expands or contracts the area in which he can make and implement future decisions. When one makes a choice, he irrevocably binds himself to the consequences of that choice."
They say it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. Although not every choice is about direction, but all choices will influence where we end up.
Today I've made my choice.
It's like a teabag, you'll only know it's strength when you're in HOT water.
Today I've became that teabag.

Miao Miao
A kitten got stranded in my house. And started meowing.
"Miao..Miao..Miao". As it goes emitting it's cry.
The thing is, it wondered in my house unknowingly that the house tenant(Stan) eats kittens.
It came in because the sliding glass door was open(with the inner gate closed of course). The sliding door was left partially open to allow fresh air to enter and not cute kittens.
While i was surfing net after a long study. It was then, it started meowing.
So i opened the sliding door wide, thinking that it was smart enough to find its' way out.
I was so so wrong.
It keep meowing under the aquarium , refusing to come out.
I had few solutions to rid the cat:
1. Kill it and make soup.
2. Lure it out with food.
3. Use penyapu to sweep it out from under the aquarium.
Sadly, i chose No.3.
Because it was practical. As i use the broom to sweep it out, it started hissing. And still hid under the aquarium. I gave up. I opened the sliding glass door even wider.
Eventually, it got out. The end. Somewhere in a parallel universe, Stan would just have used solution No.1 instead.

The Ordeal of OC Interview
When i got to the interview venue, the place was like filled with "encouragement" posters.
The one that got my attention was: " If you think you're not good enough, you're probably not!"
Others were like:
-" You won't see your PAPA and MAMA for 2 weeks."
-" Save yourself from the embarrassment now!"
And also pasted were some "sample questions" that was ridiculously hard to answer.
The questions were like:
-"When was Umno Baru established?"
I was like:" XD What the f...ish is this wei !"... I for one think nothing much of that political party.
I guess after seeing all these posters, those noobs(wannabe OCs) would think twice and run away from the interview. That's the reason i saw many tension alphas.
Finally after a short wait, I Fahmi, Chin Tian Sze and Krishnaveni went into the interview.
Interviewing us was, Puvan, Rizal and an unknown SRC dude.
Nothing much happened in the interview, the usual. When the situational question came, we didn't mention the role of SRC which was an essential part of the answer to the question.
So i SMS Kok Dye the question after the interview, since his interview is on the following day.
The question:
" Imagine you are STAD officers, suggest ways to help clubs that are inactive in organizing student activities. Discuss."
i also SMSed him the answer:
" Enforce to rules and regulation on a particular club that is inactive, organise workshop for clubs tat are inactive to kickstart their performance and most importantly STAD and SRC collaborate together to monitor the clubs.
To this he replied:
"Eh, thx wei.. erm,but i don understand last sentence!
colaborate with src to monitor?? zzZ U mean they should share compter izit? haha soli paiseh."
-_- WHAT THE F...ISH ! <*///><

Midnight Blues
It's 3a.m.
I can't sleep. Been trying to exhaust myself by doing things. After trying to do almost everything that i can think of , i did something that i don't normally do: I went about doing a little of my embedded system design assignment. My microchip-based project using PIC16F84A.
After a while, i started thinking strange stuff to myself, Like: " Pin 14 to Pin 17, yes poke it poke it... poke the pin in... and penetrate ... the board..."
Then i stopped and surf the net a while. When i saw a Chipster advertisment.
I thought of chips:
Then went to Nuffnang website to see who viewed my blog. The 1st thing that struck my mind when i saw the name Crystal was:
